Dr. Cocozzo knew she wanted to be a dentist at age seven when her father's cousin became her dentist. It felt different than other dentists, because he was someone who knew her name, knew her family, and made the whole experience feel personal — because it genuinely was. Later, when she needed orthodontics, she turned to her parents' neighbor. As his second private practice patient, Christina felt seen, heard, and cared for because he had time for her. He talked to her. He made her feel like she mattered. She never forgot what those experiences felt like, and she's spent 30 years trying to give it to everyone who sits in her chair.

After dental school, she built her practice from the ground up — cleaning her own office, doing everything herself in the early years, growing it one patient at a time. Today, Cocozzo Family Dentistry has over 2,000 patients and a team she's genuinely proud of. But the mission hasn't changed: know your patients, prepare for them, and never let a single egg drop.

Dr. Cocozzo does something else different — she doesn't believe in doing everything under one roof just to say she does. When a specialist — an oral surgeon, a periodontist, an endodontist — can deliver a better outcome, that's where she sends you. To people she knows. People she'd send her own family to. People she follows up with to make sure you were treated the way she'd want you to be treated.

Outside of the practice, Dr. Cocozzo is just as deeply rooted in the community as her patients. You'll find her at high school football and basketball games cheering on patients, sponsoring local events, and attending events of the families she's known for years. She also attends the Saratoga Dental Congress every year with her entire team — because continuing education isn't just for the doctor.

He has spent his career on the bigger work — full-mouth reconstruction, full-arch implant restoration and complex implant cases — and he now brings that care to our Malta office, so you don't have to leave town for it.

Dr. Polsinello and Dr. Cocozzo grew up in the same hometown and went to the same high school, so the trust between them started long before either one was called "Dr." Today they plan cases together, which means you have two experienced doctors looking at your smile.

On a complex case, he acts as the quarterback. He coordinates with the surgeon, the lab and your appointments, so you're never the one carrying information from office to office. He plans with the long view in mind — how your bite will hold up, which materials will last — and he's happy to phase treatment around your health, your timing and your budget.

Meet Our Staff

Cristina is the connective tissue of this practice. She's been here nearly seven years, which means she knows the patients almost as well as Dr. Cocozzo does. She's the one who runs the morning huddle, organizes the toy drives, and comes up with the thoughtful touches — the gratitude wall, the seasonal displays — that make the office feel like a place people actually want to be. She's also bilingual, speaking Spanish fluently, which means more patients feel at home from the very first phone call. She has five kids at home and somehow still does all of this. We're not sure how either.
